Kona stay guides · November 2026
Coffee can give a Kona trip a theme that reaches beyond a tasting cup: growers, artists, cultural events and time spent in the communities behind the crop. The 2026 Kona Coffee Cultural Festival is scheduled for November 6–15. Build your stay around a few selected events and leave room for an ordinary beach morning or an afternoon at the house.
Festival dates: November 6–15, 2026.
Where: multiple venues across the Kona district.
Best for: coffee-curious travelers, families and groups who want to combine local events with a relaxed Kona stay.

A relaxed opening-weekend plan
Friday, November 6: a town evening
If you are already settled in Kona, make the waterfront your main outing. Choose an early meal or a confirmed later reservation and decide where the group will meet after the parade. If your flight arrives that day, treat the evening as optional until the airport transfer and check-in are complete.
Saturday, November 7: coffee, art and an open afternoon
Visit Hōlualoa for the published Coffee and Art Stroll, keeping the morning focused on that area. Choose a few conversations and stops that interest you rather than trying to sample everything. Ask about parking and access in the organizer’s current instructions, and allow time to walk at the group’s pace.
Afterward, return for lunch, a swim where the home has a pool, or a quiet afternoon on the lanai. A group dinner works well after this shorter outing. Compare restaurants and takeout options before deciding which kind of evening everyone wants.
Sunday: choose the pace that suits your group
Leave this day open until you know everyone’s energy. A beach outing, breakfast at home or another festival event can each work. Travelers who are less interested in coffee can choose a separate activity and meet the group again later.
Visiting during the following week? Choose one farm session
Use the organizer’s multi-day listings to compare locations, session times and the kind of experience offered. Choose a farm based on what you want to learn—growing, processing, tasting or history—and confirm the actual booking requirements for that session. Our coffee-farm and living-history comparison helps frame that choice.
For a South Kona day, pair one confirmed farm visit with a meal on the same route. For a Hōlualoa visit, leave room for the village and a comfortable return. Avoid committing the whole group to several similar tours in a single day.
Choose accommodation around the events you will attend
Put the actual event venues on a map before booking your base. A Kona town evening, a Hōlualoa morning and a South Kona farm visit are different journeys. Compare the home’s location with the events you will repeat, then use the room plan to narrow the shortlist. Our Kona-area comparison explains the tradeoffs.
Find a home that fits this plan
Blue Lagoon of Kona Estate
Compare this Hōlualoa-area estate for a group planning coffee-country outings and shared afternoons. The main house and Ohana offer separate sleeping areas.
Dolphin Bay Estate
Consider this South Kona home when the confirmed farm visits and cultural outings in your plan are concentrated farther south.

Before confirming the trip
- Save the date, venue and entry requirements of each selected event.
- Reserve accommodation for the actual number of travelers and suitable sleeping places.
- Contact farms about large groups instead of assuming one public tour can take everyone.
- Arrange one dinner or shared meal and leave other evenings flexible.
- Recheck the organizer’s program before travel; use the confirmed venue address for navigation.
A few questions before you book
Does one festival button cover every experience?
Check each event entry. A festival button does not automatically replace a separate ticket, farm booking or activity reservation.
Can people who do not drink coffee enjoy the trip?
Build the visit around shared town time, art, food and flexible outings as well as coffee. Let smaller groups choose different activities when their interests differ.
Are these the dates for every year?
No. November 6–15 applies to the published 2026 festival. Use the organizer’s announcement for future editions.
